Grants, in amounts up to $500, are available for Classroom Teachers, Guidance Counselors, Teacher Assistants, Media Coordinators, Primary Reading Teachers, Reading Interventionists, Curriculum Coordinators, Technology Facilitators, Principals, Assistant Principals, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Home School Coordinators to participate in professional learning opportunities. Educators who attend the 2015 Collaborative Learning Conference (CLC) are eligible to apply for grants. Grants are intended for educators who desire to expand upon knowledge they have gained from the 2015 CLC, and experiences aligned with the district’s goals and priorities. It is the expectation that the professional learning experience will build on the skills and knowledge of educators and influence practices that improve service to students and families.
Priorities
Funding is provided through a collaborative partnership with WS/FCS and community organizations. Priority will be given to innovative, research‐based, and results‐oriented professional learning experiences that connect directly to the 2015 Collaborative Learning Conference focus priorities and the WS/FCS district goals and priorities.
Selection Process
A selection committee of WS/FCS Educators and local community grant reviewers will consider proposals and make recommendations for grant awards. Grant applicants should consider timing of professional development events prior to applying for grants. Professional Development grants will not be provided prior to November 16th. If your experiences exceeds the $500 grant award, you would be responsible for securing additional resources for your experience. More information and applications will be available immediately following the conference.
